No. Our tools only work with the files and sessions you choose to open. Nothing runs in the background without your knowledge, nothing scans your system, and nothing connects to the internet without your explicit action (aside from activation and license checks). We take specific care to make the tools safe and easy to use.

Most AI tools send your data to remote servers. Manos Notes processes everything locally on your computer by default. Your files never leave your machine. Manos Workspace optionally accesses the Internet only for specific features (e.g., web search or cloud model use). Both products conduct license checks upon installation and periodically for subscription users.

Manos Notes works fully offline for day‑to‑day use.
Subscription users need periodic online verification. If you’re offline, the app keeps your last verified status and applies a 7‑day grace period before any feature reduction.
Manos Workspace can run offline using local AI models, but features like web search and cloud-based models require a connection. Your files and conversation history stay on your machine either way. The same license checks occur for Manos Workspace and Manos Notes.
